These terms apply to the Girls Inc. of Greater Miami program text messaging service for families and participants.

About The Service

Girls Inc. of Greater Miami sends text message notifications to guardians and participants enrolled in our programs, including Strong Girls afterschool programming and Summer Camp. Messages cover:

  • Session reminders and pickup times
  • Schedule changes, early dismissals, and site closures
  • Enrollment and registration confirmations
  • Invitations to family events

This service is used for program communication only. We do not send fundraising appeals, advertising, or promotional offers by text message.

How To Join

You are added to the service when you provide your mobile number and give consent during program enrollment. Consent is collected on our online enrollment form, on our printed enrollment form, and verbally by Girls Inc. staff at registration. You may also text START, YES, or UNSTOP to our program number to begin receiving messages.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Families receive messages based on their girl’s program schedule and enrollment activity, so the number of messages changes during the program year.

Cost

Girls Inc. of Greater Miami does not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply under your plan with your mobile carrier.

Getting Help

Reply HELP to any message, or email programs@girlsincmiami.org.

Cancelling

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further text messages. To rejoin, reply START.

Opting out of text messages does not withdraw your girl from her program. We will continue to reach you by email and phone.

Eligibility

You must be the account holder of the mobile number you provide, or have the account holder’s permission to enroll that number. Consent for a participant under 18 is given by her parent or guardian.

Carriers And Delivery

Delivery is not guaranteed. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier, your device, and network conditions. Do not rely on text messages alone for time sensitive safety information.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they were last revised.

Privacy

See the Text Message Privacy Notice for how we handle mobile numbers and message data. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
