This notice explains how Girls Inc. of Greater Miami handles mobile phone numbers and text message data for families and participants who receive our program text messages. It supplements the Girls Inc. of Greater Miami Privacy Policy.

Mobile Information Is Not Shared

Girls Inc. of Greater Miami does not sell, rent, or trade mobile phone numbers. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Mobile numbers are disclosed only to the messaging service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf, and those providers may use the information solely to deliver those messages.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Families receive messages based on their girl’s program schedule and enrollment activity, so the number of messages changes during the program year.

Message And Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Girls Inc. of Greater Miami does not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply.

Help And Opting Out

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email programs@girlsincmiami.org.

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. After you reply STOP you will receive one confirmation message and no further text messages. Opting out of text messages does not remove your girl from her program, and it does not affect email or phone contact.

Information We Collect

  • The mobile number you provide at enrollment
  • The name of the guardian or participant associated with that number
  • The program and site the messages relate to
  • A record of when and how consent was given
  • Message delivery logs

How We Use It

We use this information only to send program notifications: session reminders, schedule changes and closures, enrollment confirmations, and invitations to family events. We do not use text messaging for fundraising or advertising.

How Long We Keep It

Consent records and message logs are kept for as long as your girl is enrolled and for the period afterward required by our program funders and by applicable law.
