Girls Inc. of Greater Miami collects consent for program text messages in three ways: on our online enrollment form, on our printed enrollment form, and verbally at registration. This page documents the exact language used in each case.

1. Online Enrollment Form

Families enroll through our program system at inspireos.girlsincmiami.org. The consent step is optional and the checkbox is never pre-selected. Because enrollment sits behind a family login, the form is shown below.

Checkbox wording:

Yes, I agree to receive program text messages from Girls Inc. of Greater Miami at the number above. I am the account holder or have their permission. Consent is not required to enroll.

2. Printed Enrollment Form

Families who register in person complete the printed enrollment packet. The text message consent section is optional, requires a checkbox and a signature, and is shown below.

Consent wording on the printed form:

Yes, I agree to receive program text messages from Girls Inc. of Greater Miami at the mobile number written above. I am the account holder for this number or I have the account holder’s permission. I understand consent is not required to enroll my girl in any Girls Inc. program.

3. Verbal Opt-In Script

Girls Inc. staff read the following script when a family registers in person or by phone. Staff record the answer and the date on the enrollment record. Consent is only recorded when the family answers yes.

“Would you like to get text messages from Girls Inc. of Greater Miami about your girl’s program?

We would send you session reminders and pickup times, schedule changes, early dismissals and site closures, enrollment confirmations, and invitations to family events. We do not send fundraising or advertising by text.

Message frequency varies, based on your girl’s schedule. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier. Girls Inc. does not charge for these messages.

You can reply HELP to any message if you need help, and reply STOP at any time to stop the messages. Stopping the texts does not affect your girl’s enrollment.

We do not sell or share your mobile number, and we never share it with anyone for marketing. The full terms are at girlsincmiami.org/sms-terms and the privacy notice is at girlsincmiami.org/sms-privacy. I can print either one for you.

Do you agree to receive these text messages at [read the mobile number back], yes or no?”

If the family answers yes, staff confirm:

“Thank you. You are signed up. You will get one text confirming it, and you can reply STOP any time.”

If the family answers no, staff confirm:

“No problem. We will not text you. We will reach you by email and phone instead.”

Records

For every family we record the mobile number, the opt-in method, the exact date consent was given, and the staff member who collected it. Signed printed forms are retained in the participant file. Families may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or by emailing programs@girlsincmiami.org.
