Session 2 Spotlight: Girls Step Into Their Power at Telemundo

Miami, FL — December 2025 —Girls Inc. Miami’s Power Hour x Coca-Cola: FC Academy returned for Session 2 this past Saturday with unstoppable momentum, transforming the Telemundo Center into a living classroom where girls explored creative design and branding. The December 6 session invited participants to step inside a world where media, storytelling, and culture are shaped — a powerful backdrop for a day focused on unlocking future careers in creative spaces.

From the moment teens arrived, the agenda moved at an energizing pace: mastering professional email etiquette, diving into the world of global events and sponsorship, brainstorming a Fan Festival Activation, and launching their first Branding Kit complete with brand words, color palettes, and typography. These hands-on components, featured throughout the official session deck, mirror real career workflows and help students build a tangible portfolio for future opportunities.

Star-Studded Panel Inspires the Next Generation

The day’s highlight was an unforgettable panel featuring:

  • Ali MejiaCo-Founder & Chief Creative Officer, Eberjey

  • Monica NguyenDigital Design Director, Boll & Branch

  • Jade SmithMarketing & Event Planning Coordinator, Keiser University + Founder, Trail of Hope Foundation

Their combined expertise in entrepreneurship, creative direction, and community-centered leadership gave girls a rare, deeply human look at what success can look like across industries. The session deck spotlighted each leader’s biography, illustrating the depth of experience they brought to the conversation.

During the panel, participants engaged in a candid Q&A about resilience, creativity, perfectionism, and navigating identity in professional spaces. Again and again, girls shared afterward that this conversation made their dreams feel possible.

Building Real Skills With Real Purpose

After lunch, participants applied their learning through collaborative design challenges, including their Fan Festival Activation and Branding Guide. These projects asked teams to choose one of FIFA’s real-world pillars — access to soccer, sustainability, or community — and create an activation aligned with their chosen mission.

The Branding Guide launch pushed students to think like creative directors: selecting color palettes, defining brand personalities, and writing a rationale for their choices. This mirrors industry design processes and prepares them for future creative and marketing pathways.

Session 2 didn’t just teach career readiness — it expanded belief. With each Power Hour, girls gain the confidence, connections, and creative skills that will carry them into future roles across media, marketing, global events, and design.
